Annie is a board certified, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 20 years in private practice treating adults struggling with mood issues related to pregnancy, postpartum, bipolar, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Annie now primarily specializes in psychiatric consultations, helping practitioners with integrative psychiatric treatment, therapy, and medication management. Annie believes in a mindful and integrative approach to care, helping practitioners attune to the root causes of their patients’ illnesses so that patients can minimize or eliminate psychiatric medications when possible. Annie has been involved in a Psychiatry Redefined Fellowship for over four years.

Annie’s psychotherapy training has primarily been in Gestalt therapy, a collaborative approach between patient and practitioner to support individuals in self-discovery and healing. She has experience working as a consultant for students struggling with mental health issues at the University of  Portland.  She was a preceptor for PMHNP students at Oregon Health Science University and Frontier Nursing University. Prior to her psychiatric career, Annie spent 10 years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner coordinating treatment for patients with malignant brain tumors.
